Sir Tannatt William Edgeworth David KBE, DSO, FRS.  Born 28th January 1858 died 28th August 1934) a geologist and Antarctic explorer.  David’s most significant achievements were discovering the major Hunter Valley coalfield in New South Wales and leading the first expedition to reach the South Magnetic Pole.  He also served with distinction in World War I.  A copy of the Still Structure and Fossils in Eruptive Rocks in New South Wales, read before the Royal Society of N.S.W, November 4, 1896.  The document has been signed as the first person J.. Maiden Esq with the authors kind regards.  The signed document is in brittle condition, but comes with another document that is in excellent condition.
