Maggie Dence (born 1 February 1942) is an Australian actress who after high-profile television comedy work became better known for several soap opera roles.

Her best-known soap opera roles include the sweet Rose Sullivan in The Sullivans between 1976–1978, as evil psychopath and murderers Bev ‘The Beast’ Baker in Prisoner Cell Block H in 1984 and as school teacher Dorothy Burke in Neighbours in the early 1990s.  Dence also had guest roles in A Country Practice, The Flying Doctors, All Saints and Heartbreak High.

In 1988 Maggie took to the stage in the John Ewing-directed show Steel Magnolias.  Maggie plays the role of Truvy Mildred Jones Algood.  The play showed at the York Theatre at the Seymour Centre in Sydney.  Maggie’s main co-stars were Nancy Hayes, Nicole Kidman, Pat McDonald, Mellissa Jaffer and Genevieve Lemon.

This is a standard contract of service for single plays and/or productions for her appearance in the theatre production of Steel Magnolias.  Maggie Dence signed the contract in blue pen.  Contract and signature are in excellent condition.
